There is a disorder reported in red cocker spaniels called multisystem neuronal degeneration. I have no clue how frequently it might occur
but tremors and balance problems are seen with it. It occurs in young dogs,
typically around 1 year of age.
Cutaneous papillomas are caused by a different virus and occur
in older dogs. The one of the most commonly affected breeds are cocker
spaniels, and male dogs are more likely to be affected
than female dogs. These have a typical wart like appearance most of
the time.
